Getting started

What the studio is and how to make your first render.

What is Generato?
Generato is a studio for making images and short videos with AI. You choose a model, a preset or a tool, describe what you want, and the result appears in your library.
Is this the live service?
Not yet. This is a preview build. Generations return sample results and no payment is taken. Your account, credits and library are kept only in this browser.
How do I make my first render?
Open the studio, type a short description of what you want to see and press Generate. The cost is shown on the button before you start.
Do I need design or video skills?
No. Presets write most of the prompt for you, and every setting has a sensible default. The Learn section has short guides when you want more control.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. The studio, tools and library all work in a phone browser. There is nothing to install.

Studio and models

Prompts, models, presets and settings.

Which model should I start with?
Start with a preset. Each preset already picks a model and writes most of the prompt. When you want more control, open the models page and compare them.
Can I turn an image into a video?
Yes. Pick a video model that lists image to video, upload your still and describe the motion. One clear movement works better than many.
Which sizes and shapes can I use?
Each model lists its own shapes and sizes on its page and in the studio settings. Square, tall and wide are available on most models.
Can I keep the same character across images?
Some image models are good at this. Their model pages say so. Reuse the same description and upload an earlier result as a reference.
How long does a render take?
Images usually take seconds. Video takes longer and depends on the model and clip length. You can keep working while it renders.

Tools

Upscale, cut out, expand, relight and the video tools.

What are tools?
Tools do one job on a file you upload: make it sharper, cut out the subject, widen it, change the light, restyle a clip or make it longer.
Which files can I upload?
Common image files for image tools and short clips for video tools. Each tool page says which kind it needs.
How much does a tool cost?
Each tool runs on one model and costs what that model costs. The price is shown on the tool page and before you run it.
Can I make any face talk?
Only a face you have the right to use, with that person's consent. Never use the talking avatar tool to put words in someone's mouth.

Credits

How renders are priced and what happens when one fails.

What is a credit?
Credits are how you pay for a render. Each model has its own cost, shown on its page and in the studio before you press Generate. Images cost per image, video costs per second.
Do I pay for a failed render?
No. If a render fails or you cancel it, the credits go back to your balance.
Do unused credits roll over?
Plan credits refresh at the start of each billing month and do not roll over. Credits from a one off pack stay in your balance until you use them.
How can I spend fewer credits?
Draft with a lower cost model, make one image instead of four, and keep clips short until the shot is right. Then run the final version on the model you like.

Plans and billing

Plans, yearly billing, packs and cancelling.

Can I cancel or change my plan?
Yes, at any time from your account page. A downgrade takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
What is the difference between monthly and yearly?
Same plan, same monthly credits. Yearly is paid once for twelve months and costs less overall. The pricing page shows both.
What are credit packs?
One off top ups for when you run low before your plan refreshes. Pack prices are on the pricing page.
Can I get an invoice?
Invoice billing is part of the Studio plan. On other plans, receipts are listed in your account.

Your account

Signing in, your library and your data.

Where are my creations?
In your library. Every finished render is saved there with its prompt and model, newest first.
Can I delete my creations?
Yes. You can remove a single creation from your library or clear all of it from your account page.
What do you keep about me?
In this preview, nothing leaves your browser. The privacy page explains what the live service will keep and why.

Content and rights

Who owns results and what you may not make.

Who owns what I make?
You do, within the terms of each model's provider. Read our terms for the details before you use results in client work.
Can I use photos of real people?
Only photos you have the rights to use, with the person's consent. Do not upload images of other people without permission, and do not make content that deceives or harms anyone.
What am I not allowed to make?
Anything illegal, sexual content involving minors, content that harasses or deceives, and impersonation of real people. The acceptable use page has the full list.
Can I use results in commercial work?
Yes, within our terms and each model provider's terms. Check both before a client project.
